When & Where?

The race takes place on Sunday 23rd August 2020, Race briefing is at 7.40am at the Town Hall. Race start is 8.00am.

You will be able to leave bags at the town hall but please do not leave valuable items in your bag.

There are toilets at the town hall and additional toilets close by.

Accomodation and Parking

Parking is limited in Henley, the car parks in the town centre are short stay (3hrs) so not suitable for those attending the event. A dedicated long stay car park (open from 6.00am – 8.00pm) has been arranged for runners, friends, family and support crew at Fairmile Vineyard, Henley-on-Thames RG9 2JP. This car park is £3 per car and is 8 minutes walk from the Town Hall.

Trains run approx ever 30 minutes from Twyford (Twyford is on the Great Western main line so offers easy access from London, Reading and beyond) Henley Railway Station is a five minute walk from the Town Hall.

Henley has a good range of accomodation ranging from B&Bs to Town Centre Hotels but is is advisable to book early as Henley is a popular summer holiday destination.

Camping and touring pitches are available at Swiss Farm a short walk from the Town Hall, camping is avaialble at Embers Riverside camping ground a short drive from Henley. Book early as Swiss Farm gets booked up and has a minimum two night stay. If you are a caravan club member Four Oaks Touring Park is a few minutes walk from the Town Hall.

 

Race Packs and Registration

There will be a downloadable Race Guide and GPX Route file available on the entry page early in the New Year.

We don’t send anything out in the post, you can collect your Race Pack (race number, hard copy maps, tracking device and race t-shirts) at the Town Hall on Saturday afternoon 3.00pm – 7.00pm or Sunday morning from 6.00am.

 

Runner Support

There are five support stations at roughly 10K intervals. Support Stations will have a drinking water supply to fill up your bottles and or hydration packs. They will also have a range of food and drinks including vegan (from Support Station 2 onward). Support Station 1 will carry a reduced level of items.

  1. Support runners will run the route at various paces from 5hrs – 10hrs, these are not pace runners so will not gaurentee to finish in a certain time. They are there to offer help and support on the route. You can attached yourself to a support runner if you wish.
  2. Mobile phones and trackers, we will provide a mobile number you can call if you need support on the route i.e. you need some directional support, medical attention or would like to drop out.
  3. Mobile Medical support will be available on request but for minor issues or dropping out please make it to the next support station.
  4. Unregistered support runners are not permitted.
